From the outskirts of Jutland comes Quick Quick Obey. What started as a band of teenagers rehearsing Pink Floyd-inspired songs in an abandoned house, has quickly become one of the most beloved danish indie-rock acts. Taking 70s prog-rock into the digital age, their music is both dreamy, catchy and heartfelt.
Now situated in Copenhagen, their are known for their energetic live performances and their debut album “Bulb Days” which was released in 2014 to critical acclaim. Their 2nd album is to be released in spring 2017.
They might not be as big as TAME IMPALA and others yet but judging from their debut album Bulb Days it could be only a matter of time.
Though mellow and calm, it never gets boring.
An album I'll revisit again and again.
Well put together, well thought out, very fashionable and ambitious.
The young quartet captures the spirit of the times with it's cheerful youthfulness.
